Valentine Printables

Another great Valentine Printable. The Hands-On Housewife designed these adorable valentine printables. These would look so cute in a frame displayed in your home or if your having a Valentine's party displayed in a frame on your dessert table. I know I will be printing at least one (or both) of these little cuties out!

Valentine's Cookies

I wanted to make something fun, easy and affordable for Valentine's Day. That's when I came up with a Valentine Cookie Party. These Cute heart shaped sugar cookies would look great at any Valentine's day party.

My daughter Ella helping roll out the dough.

For these mini hearts I melted Wiltons Chocolate melts(I used red and white) in a small bowl,
dipped a spatula in the chocolate and drizzled it over the cookies.

These LOVE cookies turned out pretty cute! I used ABC cookie cutters that my
sister gave me for Christmas that I have been dying to use. I dipped the bottom
half of the cookie in the Wiltons chocolate and poured sprinkles them.

For these heart cookies I dipped half of the cookie in the Wiltons chocolate and poured valentine
sprinkles over them, drizzled a couple with the chocolate and left a couple plain

The Sugar Cookie Recipe - from allrecipes.com

Welcome to EMJ Design CO.

Welcome to my blog. Let me take a moment to introduce myself. My name is Mel. I have a beautiful daughter who keeps me on my toes. A wonderful husband who is my world. I do not know where I would be without him. I have amazing family and friends who support my dreams and ideas and encourage me every step of the way. I am truly blessed.
We have two cats who keep us thoroughly entertained. My daughter's favorite pastime is chasing them around our apartment. I'm not sure if they like it, but we sure do get a lot of laughs. During the nice weather we spend a lot of time at the local lake and do some hiking and biking. In the winter we just love to play in the snow. The more snow the better.
Life is busy raising an almost three year old. I spend my days with her and I work the night shift at a hotel . I love scrapbooking and paper crafting.

When my daughter turned one, I began planning her first birthday party. I did a lot of researching on the web, getting ideas and planning what I wanted to do. I came across so many blogs that had wonderfully beautiful birthday parties. The only problem was that they were way out of my price range. They were gorgeous. Out of this world, but nothing the average person could afford. Now that my daughter is approaching three, I want to throw her an out of this world party on a budget. That is where this blog comes in. I want to share my ideas with all of you party people on a budget who still want to throw amazing parties. Trust me it can be done! I am going to share with you great ideas for affordable birthday packages.Lots of DIY projects. Favors that are not only affordable, but also fun and do not contain a bag full of little plastic toys that just get scattered all around your guests house then get tossed in the trash. I'll show you where to buy paper goods and much much more.
